Mechatronics
For handling products and measuring complex characteristics
Mechanisms for testing and quality control
Quality control and testing applications often require advanced mechanisms to ensure production throughput and measurement reliability. Our mechatronics experts design and develop these mechanisms to provide Multi-Inspection Mechatronic Systems ( M2IS ) for testing and micromanipulating devices.
We define the optimal solution to meet specific needs. This approach allows us to perfectly meet the client's expectations with a solution based on a proven standard. This customization can even extend to the creation of a product dedicated to a single client.

Our mechanical design team develops complex solutions and works in partnership to meet the demanding requirements of mechanical performance measurement and testing systems.
Quality control and testing applications often require advanced mechanisms to ensure reliable measurements. Our mechanical experts possess the sensitivity and experience necessary to define mechanical performance requirements, design static and dynamic mechanisms, select and validate appropriate mechanical components, and implement our mechatronic systems, either in-house or through partnerships.
Whether it's micromechanical design or the assembly of our complex machines, our engineers meet our clients' requirements and specifications. Our mechanical expertise is linked to the control, testing, and micromanipulation of devices under test (DUT). In line with our strategy of providing mechatronic systems with multiple inspections ( M2IS ), our experts also design mechanisms that automate certain production operations. This improves the reproducibility of measurements and reduces inspection costs.
We are active in multiple industries , but have particular expertise in our seven strategic sectors: watchmaking, aerospace & defense, medical, automotive, rail, electrical engineering, and energy. Our list of references testifies to our successes.
Even though the machining of our mechanisms is done by our partners and suppliers, our workshop in Plan-les-Ouates is equipped to perform simple operations to finalize assembly and make adjustments. Since 2020, our two sites in Plan-les-Ouates and Barraux have also been equipped with 3D printers, allowing us to accelerate the development of ideas, test them, and even quickly manufacture a missing mechanical part.
Our experts handle the entire mechanical development cycle, from specification based on control needs, selection of suitable components, to interfacing with the industrial environment, including the design, assembly and adjustment of mechanisms.
- Measurement and testing stands and enclosures
- Dynamic manipulation of sensors and DUT
- Micro-mechanical manipulators, for example for arming, lubricating, the DUT
- Electromagnetic and acoustic insulation
- Optical isolation
QMT experts select the appropriate equipment for the project's success, paying particular attention to all mechanical components that determine the quality of the measurements taken. We also develop our own innovative systems, such as the QMT Line fixture , to fill market gaps.
QMT experts use the computer-aided design tool, CAD, CREO from PTC. For 3D printing, the Ultimaker-Cura software is used.
