QMT profile
Customized solutions for testing and quality controlQMT profile
qmt is an expert in customized testing and quality control solutions, particularly in the luxury, medical, automotive, and rail sectors. At the heart of qmt is a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of 34 employees driven by precision, technology, and innovation. Since the company's founding in 1989, qmt has supported a wide range of clients, helping them minimize imperfections in their manufactured products through the automation and reliability of testing and control processes. With our state-of-the-art technology platform incorporating artificial intelligence, we meet the needs of:
- automatic appearance control
- dimensional control in a demanding industrial context
- micro-mechanism testing
- next-generation watchmaking quality control
Appearance control solutions enable the automatic detection of defects and the characterization of texture and perceived color. They rely on high-performance optical solutions, mechanical integration, and software with artificial intelligence. These controls can be combined with dimensional measurement and testing.
Dimensional control solutions enable highly accurate measurement in demanding industrial environments. They integrate a multi-disciplinary approach (mechanical, optical, electronic) and user-friendly software. These controls can be combined with visual inspection and testing.
Electromechanical testing solutions combine multi-physics measurements (torque, force, speed, position, etc.) with actuation and automation mechanisms that can be controlled by machine vision. They enable the precise manipulation of small parts for testing and characterization.
Our watchmaking quality control solutions have been developed based on our 30 years of experience. They enable the performance of watchmaking-specific inspections using cutting-edge technologies and intuitive software incorporating Artificial Intelligence. The solutions are customized to perfectly meet each client's needs.
In the era of the factory of the future and connected industry, quality control and testing systems are playing an increasingly important role in the industrial ecosystem. With the goal of quality and operational excellence, this equipment, dedicated to identifying defects, leads to cost reductions and significantly decreases workload. When projects are managed by QMT, especially when projects are intense , we bring calm and efficiency. When the challenges are significant, we offer a creative, original, and effective solution.
QMT innovates to advance its solutions, and this innovation has been recognized several times throughout QMT's history . Through vision, through hearing, through innovative solutions integrating artificial intelligence, QMT limits the number of imperfections in manufactured products.

At the heart of QMT is a dynamic and multidisciplinary team, driven by technology and creativity, united by strong company values. Testing and quality control are QMT's core business, industry is the passion of its employees, and precision is its distinguishing characteristic.
We have been developing industrial vision systems since 1990. This extensive experience has allowed us to cultivate cutting-edge expertise in both optical system design and processing algorithms. We can therefore design, develop, and implement optical systems for industrial solutions to measure the quality of microtechnology products. These solutions integrate traditional industrial vision as well as innovative optical systems to replicate human vision (3D vision, augmented reality vision, etc.).
Quality control and testing applications often require advanced mechanisms to ensure production throughput and measurement reliability. Our mechatronics experts design and develop these mechanisms to provide Multi-Inspection Mechatronic Systems (M2IS) for testing and micromanipulating devices.
All our solutions integrate QMT software, which enables signal acquisition, processing, communication, and results management. This standard software incorporates the latest technologies to be intuitive and easy to use. It is customized by the QMT team for each application to meet the client's specific requirements. We also have the capability to develop custom software if the application or client requires it.
We integrate artificial intelligence solutions into our systems primarily so they can make decisions based on criteria learned through machine learning. The goal is to preserve human sensitivity while adding the rigor of machine learning. Our expertise covers selecting suitable models, creating training datasets, managing data, and integrating the resulting model into a high-speed automated process.
Each project begins with understanding the client's technical and organizational needs. Based on this understanding, we define the optimal solution, incorporating the necessary customizations to meet specific requirements. This approach ensures that we perfectly meet the client's expectations with a solution based on a proven standard. This customization can even extend to creating a product dedicated to a single client.
QMT certified its Swiss organization according to ISO 9001 in 2011 ( certificate ). In addition, for projects in the medical industry, QMT has been ISO 13485 certified since 2014 ( certificate ).
