In order to offer ever more efficient solutions, QMT began developing standard equipment in 2007. These are intended for the following applications: quality control - sorting machine - watchmaking industry.

In order to efficiently carry out larger projects with significant technical challenges, a project-oriented structure has been put in place. It is a major asset for Qualimatest.

Between 2003 and 2006, QMT invested in its organization to define efficient processes for the development, deployment, and maintenance of industrial systems. This organization led to the company's quality certification in 2003 and the creation of a strong center of expertise in project management.

Its rapid rise and dynamism earned it the Crédit Suisse Prize for Technological Innovation (Technologiestandort Schweiz) in 1995.

QMT was founded in 1989 by a group of engineers specializing in materials, mechanics, measurement technology, and computer science. Since its inception, QMT has been introducing digital imaging for microscopy. In 1991, QMT entered into a technological partnership with National Instruments to develop its own facilities and developed Multimicro, a motorized image analyzer with automatic microhardness measurement.
